capitalareaworkforce

Welcome to the Five Stars team Delana!

We are thrilled to announce our continued commitment to engaging with community partners through the latest addition to our team, Delana Epps-Avery, the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Five Stars Hotel Employment Initiative!

Delana brings a wealth of experience to this role, boasting over 20 years of involvement in human services within the Wake County area. Holding a master's degree in human services and family counseling, she has previously worked in outreach for the United Healthcare Medicaid initiative and coordinated life skills services. In these roles, she found innovative solutions for youth employment as they transitioned out of the foster care system in Wake County. Throughout her career, Delana has been dedicated to working with marginalized communities, and she is excited to continue those efforts with the Five Stars initiative.

As the Five Stars Community Engagement Coordinator, Delana will forge relationships with interested job seekers and community partners to improve local awareness about the Five Stars program. With her dedication and enthusiasm, we are sure Delana will elevate our outreach efforts to new heights. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Delana!
